A Crutch
I often hear phrases like religion is a crutch or some sentiment similar to Marx statement that religion is, "the sun around which people revolve until they begin to revolve around themselves". My thought in response is "Yes, and by golly aren't you glad that you have a crutch when you find that your leg is broken," or "Do you really find yourself to be a sufficient axis of rotation?" The question always comes back to an evaluation of humankind's condition.

i'm very appreciative of the fact that a professor extraordinare of your calibur would even take the time to read my ramblings. i feel even more honored that you admire me after reading them. sheesh. i just feel cool.
dude. you pretty much knew exactly what i was going to do. i was seriously going to make the magazine coasters. that sucks.
i'm going to have to really THINK now. gah.
i don't think i'll be making it out there anytime soon. school is starting up in a bit, and i'll be slammed with that. taking college classes and highschool classes. yikes.
what was the plan for christmas though?
i've heard all about the loft. sounds very exciting. i look forward to seeing it.
and about the crutch paragraph ...
i think that too many times people are just too afraid to admit they need a crutch. they would rather be critical of those that have, than admit they have an issue to be dealt with.
