The story of Christianity tells of a relationship of God with man that, if true, is the best possible news. If the initiator of all existence came down to identify with his creation and save them from the ignorance of their own wills, how can we want anything more? We can spurn the gift of free will we have received, or refuse to see the ill our wills have wrought upon the earth. The love of a God who risks our rebellion, and the truth of the world that needs redemption will one day break through and we will see him face to face. Our ignorance will be peeled away and we will be reconciled again to perfect love.
